During its modernisation process, the nation of Dravidia grappled with severe limitations stemming from availability of required natural resources and an immature industrial base. As a result, it relied heavily on importing necessary products and technology. This led to a struggle to improve the quality of life of its citizens.
It was within this context that Kali Biosystems emerged. Popularly known as ‘Kali’, the company was founded by a brilliant and secretive Biologist (known only as ‘Vaiko’). Vaiko believed that humanity had naively trapped itself within a ‘luxurious metal cage’ through its over reliance on mechanical & electronic technology at the expense of the the natural world.
Vaiko believed that focusing exclusively on hardware and software, whilst offering great initial advancements’, would eventually impose limits on innovation by way of rapid consumption of finite resources and negative environmental changes.
Therefore, Vaiko founded Kali with a vision to explore and harness the full power of nature and biology. By learning from nature and adopting its greatest advantages, humanity could accelerate its evolutionary destiny and greatly expand what is possible to achieve.
In particular, he had a vision for nation of Dravidia to no longer be held hostage to the limits of traditionally sought after natural resources and commodities. This would involve creating biological innovations that would eventually exceed those achievable through traditional hardware and software.
This vision has been underpinned by a commitment to pure research in fields such as synthetic biology, engineering biology, bio-mimicry, biotechnology, cybernetics and geoengineering etc. This research is underpinned by a vast network of pure research academies and programmes.
This follows a unique ‘Push and Apply’, model where funding and support for pure research & experimentation is undertaken without prior commercial considerations. Commercial and industrial applications are then then developed from any discoveries unearthed from the pure research via the following ‘Commercial Divisions’:
- Industrial design and architecture
- Pharmaceuticals
- Bioengineering
- Healthcare
- Energy
- Geoengineering
- Defence Technologies
- Consumer products
- Construction and Engineering Solutions
- Industrial Soluitions
- Logistics
- Environmental Management
It was through this pioneering model that Kali’s first groundbreaking and mass produced product was born: the life cell. The revolutionary product utilised terrarium technology to produce portable and self sustaining oxygen supplies for humans. The life cell became the infrastructural backbone to several key industries, particularly the burgeoning space exploration sector.
The Life Cell (which provides portable and everlasting oxygen supplies to users) was teh first major innovation developed by Kali Biosystems. It would not be the last. In fact, it became the platform upon which Kali rose up to become a pioneer and driver of advancement for both Dravidia and the world.
