Thank you for reading this safety guidance leaflet. By reading and following the instructions within this leaflet, you will gain a greater understanding of the Gas Mask Men crisis and how best to survive.
The Gas Mask Men Crisis
On 13th July 2034, the first recorded sighting of a Gas Mask Man was reported in Brasilia, Brazil. This sighting was linked to the sudden deaths of twelve people who were within close proximity of the Gas Mask Man.
Ever since that first sighting, the Gas Mask Men (commonly abbreviated to GM2s) continued to appear in every country across the world. Now, they are a tragically regular fixture of human life.
The GM2 crisis, has so far claimed the lives of approximately four million people globally. This number continues to rise to this day.
WHAT ARE THE GAS MASK MEN?
There is little verified information on the origins or physiology of GM2s. However, there are key elements to look out for to identify a GM2. This will aid in distinguishing between genuine GM2 threats and false alarms.
GM2s resemble a humanoid form. They often standing at around six feet tall. If they have any skin, it is completely covered in olive green overalls, thick black rubber gloves, and scuffed black leather boots.
As evident by their name, the GM2s are most notable for the gas masks worn over their heads. These gas masks resemble models most commonly used during the cold war era. They are composed of a green rubber body that encases the entire head, two large circular black visors over the eyes and a protruding cylindrical respirator.
Notably, ripples on the surface texture of the mask suggests that much of it is melted and fused with the head of the GM2.
GM2s possess the ability to appear in and disappear from any location on planet Earth at any time. They achieve this through an as yet unexplained method of instant teleportation.
The GM2s have been observed to lack the ability to communicate with humans through either oral or written channels. At the very least, they lack activate motivation to communicate with humans.
The GM2s are not overly mobile. Once appearing at a location, they either remain stationary or amble slowly within a small space in that location. Their is no as yet discernible pattern to the locations,timings and frequencies of their appearances .
GM2s pose a fatal risk to all humans through eye contact. This specifically refers to when a human looks into the round black visors on the GM2s masks with their naked eyes for more than a few seconds.
Autopsies conducted on victims of GM2 encounters suggest that the victims’ organs suffered a highly painful, agonising and rapid self decay. Scientists are still seeking to determine how this speedy self eating of organs takes place.
Notable GM2 mass death events include the Dec 2031 London Central Line attack – where 21 commuters died on an underground train- and the April 2028 Langham Secondary School massacre – where GM2s killed 18 school children and 3 teachers.
HOW TO PROTECT YOURSELF
The first and most important factor in surviving a GM2 event is to remain calm. A large percentage of GM2 deaths are attributed to individual and group panic.
When confronted by a GM2 in your vicinity, stop what you are doing immediately (when safe to do so). Remain calm and look down at your feet. If you possess accredited GM2 Safety Goggles, please calmly secure these over your eyes so that they are fully covered.
If you are able to do so safely, please attempt leave the area in which the GM2 is present. Do so in a calm and orderly manner so as not to trigger panic.
If you are unable to leave the area, keep looking at your feet or keep your googles on for five minutes. There has never been a recorded GM2 appearance at any location that has lasted for more than 5 minutes.
After 5 minutes, slowly look up but keep your field of vision limited to knee level and below. Survey your surroundings and look carefully for any pair of legs covered in olive green overalls and black leather boots. If you unable to identify any, you may look up normally and/or remove your goggles. You can then proceed as normal.
You can download a number of mobile phone apps that can give you accurate predictions of GM2 events in your vicinity with a one minute notice period. These services utilise reliable data from the global electromagnetic sensor network.
You can also install GM2 alarm systems in your place of residence.
Be aware that all commercial premises are required by law to be fitted with fully functional and accredited GM2 alarm systems.
Many public places provide public address systems to warn of impending GM2 events and provide instructions on how to respond. Please follow these public warnings and instructions.
After surviving a GM2 event, please report the event on the official UKERA website or mobile tracking app. This will support continued research, tracking activities and global prediction capabilities.
Finally, please refrain from spreading false or unsubstantiated rumours regarding the origins, physiology or motivations of the GM2s. This will erode public preparedness and awareness. Rumours can be as lethal as eye contact.
GM2s have tragically become a permanent fixture in human life. However, the human race can still survive.
